Job Description:

This position is contingent upon contract award. 

The Ammunition Supply Point, Supervisor is Responsible for all ASP daily activities. Ensuring the ASP, accountable records are maintained at 98 to 100% accuracy. Schedules workload of employees using procedures and priorities established in local SOPs.



Monitor the daily production control operation using approved customer requests for issues or turn-ins ensuring customer demands/requests are being met.

Receive, collect and compile workload data through automated and manual methods to establish, required data/information for weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

Review, develop, prepare, and maintain standard operating procedures to be used in internal and external SOPs for reference and guidance to ASP personnel and customers.

Coordinate directly with the Installation Ammunition Manager (TAMIS) and Accountable Officer to ensure stockage level requirements to support Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard and other services customer units training and operational loads are on hand and serviceable.

Upon request prepare reports for the Accountable Officer (AO) or the COTR.  Assist the Accountable Officer (AO) during preparation for quarterly inventories by non-ASP personnel (Military) provide guidance during briefing personnel performing/conducting the inventory.

Plan and coordinate with the Defense Reutilization & Marketing Office (DRMO) stock control and ASP personnel for ammunition residue shipments, ensure proper documentation is completed prior to delivery to DRMO.

Plan and oversee preparations of ammunition for unit deployments (within 12 hours) based on each units authorized operational/combat load by totally reconfiguring packing configurations, remarking containers to meet military marking standards for shipment by air, land or water vessel loads.

The Ammunition Supply Point, Supervisor must be highly qualified with general supervisory experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have comprehensive knowledge of AR-25-400-2, The Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS); AR 190-11, Physical Security of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives; AR 385-64, U.S. Army Explosives Safety Program; AR 710-2, Supply Policy Below the National Level; AR 725-50, Requisition, Receipt and Issue System; AR 740-26, Physical Inventory Control; DA PAM 710-2-1, Using Unit Supply System; DA PAM 385-64, Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standards; DA PAM 710-2-2, Supply Support Activity Supply System; AMC-R 740-25, Ammunition Stock Location Management Activities; Title 49 Code of Federal Regulation; MIL-Std-129P, Packaging and Marking Guide for DoD; and local internal and external SOPs.

Operational knowledge of the SAAS-MOD and TAMIS systems. Must be a United States citizen or be authorized to work in the United States. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation and have or be able to obtain a SECRET clearance. May be required to work uncommon hours of duty, extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Associate degree or minimum of five years of ammunition and explosive safety experience in the U.S Military or equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external clients and other employees in the organization.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to use common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  Introduction to Ammunition (AMMO-45). U.S. Army Explosives Safety Familiarization (AMMO-63). Class V Issue & Turn-in Procedures for Using Units (AMMO-64). Hazmat Familiarization & Safety in Transportation (AMMO-67)

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Repetitive motions: use keyboard on computer. Sitting, walking, lifting (50 lbs) and bending or standing as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the ASP Supervisor is exposed to the outdoors at the ASP storage site. When working site locations, employee may be exposed to radiological hazards, extreme weather conditions, loud noise, or are required to wear personal protective equipment.
